“With my three friends, Abby and Chrissy, we are raising money for Opportunity International to give mini-loans to women to help them out of poverty. How and Why? I’ll start with the How; We are wearing one shirt and one pair of shoes for a 100 days. The shirt is representing the very small amount of clothing poor people have compared to us, and the shoes are representing that 50% (300 million of them are children) of the world doesn’t own a pair of shoes, and if they do it’s only one pair. By doing this we’re trying to place ourselves in their shoes, literally.
We’ll be going around door-to-door in our neighbour-hoods raising money and hold various events at our church to raise money. The Why; Well, it’s rather simple, for the glory of God. Thank you for your time!” For more information visit http://www.opportunitycan.ca/champion/champion.aspx?asset=749
